A Mooresville couple is planning a new backyard and pool project. They called JAG asking for advice on low-maintenance decking and handrails, plus how to incorporate the area under the deck into the design, for more outdoor living space and access to the future pool.
This is the upper deck in Lake Norman that was about to fall off the house! Major work was done to restore and remodel, including porch ceiling and flashing repairs, new cedar posts, new gutters, and finishing touches like a rain chain and sculptural stone rain “barrel.”
JAG Construction worked with the Lake Norman homeowner to come up with the backyard design of a raised stamped concrete patio anchored with a stone fireplace. JAG also installed new gutters with leaf guards and a unique downspout with a copper rain chain and whiskey barrel to collect the water.
An old pressure treated deck is transformed into a new screen porch and open grilling deck with a seating bench (hidden storage bonus) and flower pot box.
